I GOT SO GREEDY!!

I spent Sunday in the studio and worked tirelessly with no breaks from 9-5. I was nearing exhaustion and was feeling dizzy from no food or water since breakfast. I almost fell off a stool so I decided to call it quits for the day. I was trying to get 4 of each cloud for a total of 8 clouds in one day. The final two molds of the day began to collapse when trying to move them to a wet box. I lost the last mold because it cracked in half. I just tried to push it too much. I ended up with 7 TOTAL on Sunday. Wish it were 8. I was able to cast 4 of Cloud 3 and 3 of Cloud 1. My body and my mold failed me at 5 pm so I had to go.

I’m certainly not going to make my goal of 30-40 of each cloud. I was hoping for a total of 100-200 clouds total. I would like to have extra because some may be broken/damaged in the process.

IT’S TIME FOR PLAN B

I’m going to continue to make as many as possible during this term and will have to continue next year for my MFA Exhibition credits. It may be possible to get 15 of each cloud (cloud 1 and cloud 3) prior to the end of the term. Almost 1/3 of the original goal. I would also like to create a revised cloud #2 form modeled, CNC milled, and mold created.
