Clouds have always been an important part of my life. When I started my business in 2012, I named it “CLOUD 10”. I started branding the business with the concept of clouds and have named all of the computer/electronic equipment we own off of cloud types. CIRRUS, CUMULUS, PILEUS, NOCTILUCENT. These are all parts of “CLOUD 10.”
I started the development of this project with the direction of “BROWN CLOUD” but the more we talked about this piece as an exhibition component, the more the work evolved and changed into something more community-focused, and less from a perspective of shame.
My exhibition works have begun to crystalize around the concept of sustainability. The thesis will focus on the importance of social sustainability (ecological and cultural) and interactivity in our physical environments. The works will increase awareness and encourage sustainability in the creation of new media.
The questions we intend to answer…
How do we increase social sustainability in our physical environment?
How to increase interactivity in our physical environment?
Various levels of engagement give agency/control to the viewer. Active, Passive
Awareness, Inclusivity, Comfort
Interpersonal Interaction, Participation
