In Cambodia 84% of the population does not have access to clean, safe water. The Mekong River flows through this area of Southeast Asia and it is often affected by monsoon season from May to November. How could a place that has a river flowing through it and a monsoon season be in a water crisis? (December 2017) Each Curio reveals a total environment of objects, textures, artifacts, and ideas that challenge and contextualize familiar design narratives. Write about the connections between the two texts. For example, in what ways is it a protest to "unearth" infrastructure? What is being unearthed by the electronics projects? To reveal something that is typically hidden is exposing that which lives in the dark, bringing it to light.
